Replacing Chef Chico marked a milestone as the first Filipino-produced series for Netflix, and we were tasked with launching it in a way that felt just as groundbreaking.
Instead of relying on traditional flat posters, we transformed the show’s KV into a fully immersive 4D experience. At a major mall in Manila, we installed a massive cooking pot where visitors didn’t just see the show—they experienced it.
The impact translated beyond the installation. Within two weeks of its November 24, 2023 release, Replacing Chef Chico broke into Netflix’s Global Non-English TV Top 10 at #9 with 1.3 million views and climbed to #1 in the Philippines.

DESIGN PROCESS
Tasked by Netflix to develop the series poster from the ground up, the concept I created for the poster became the inspiration for what would evolve into the 4D experience.

TITLE POSTER
For the title poster of Replacing Chef Chico, I imagined the world from the pot’s perspective, placing the audience right at the heart of the kitchen, as if they were part of the cooking itself.
We then collaborated with artist Andre Manguba, whose talent helped elevate the poster, refining every detail and bringing the concept to its full, cinematic expression.

Inspired by the title poster, we took a step further and brought it to life as a 4D experience where audiences could step inside the pot and become part of the cooking adventure.
